Ianthe taught both my children in many art classes. We now have beautiful woven pieces they created under her guidance, and well as fanciful sculptures and colorful drawings and paintings on our walls. My children years later still love to create and use techniques learned from Ianthe. "Ianthe is the art teacher you wish you had. In both kids’ and adult classes, she’s inventive, warm, supportive, funny. She listens to her students and shapes her teaching to fit what they need. I’ve been sketching off and on for years but knew I needed to learn fundamental skills. I worried any class would be too challenging or discouraging, especially considering the physical limitations I have from a chronic illness. With Ianthe, I’m learning so much and having fun doing it. Thanks to Ianthe, I'm beginning to "see" more like an artist, to break down the visual information I observe so that I can draw it more accurately. Joining Saturday Art Class was a great success. My Son Jordan enjoyed it so much he was so excited to wake up early every Saturday! Ianthe Jackson has been his Art Teacher since Kindergarten, so a very special connection. We've now transitioned to online classes during these times. Both of us enjoy taking Zoom Art Classes learning new technics and skills, a very helpful therapeutic time during the day, we both look forward to it. -Elizabeth Z
